Welcome to the Harrold Online

The village of Harrold is about 60 miles north of London in the county of Bedfordshire. It is nine miles north west of the county town of Bedford and is about 15 miles from both Northampton and Milton Keynes. Its population is around 1,500, and expanding.

Harrold is a riverside village with an ancient bridge over the River Great Ouse. It has a long rich history with archaeological finds dating back 4,500 years. It has a wealth of architectural features, a range of amenities and services, excellent schools and a popular Country Park with interesting wildlife and picturesque walks.

The bridge is the focal point of three parishes, with Carlton and Chellington a short stroll across the ancient causeway and the attractive village of Odell a pleasant walk across the Country Park. These villages together make an exciting community in which to live and to visit.

In a Sunday Times survey in 2013 Harrold was selected as “One of 100 Best Places to Live in Britain”.
